'Frenesi’ is a very fine
looking 43 foot Yawl designed and built by Mc
Gruers in 1961.
She is a very strong boat, beautifully put
together, but with her sixtieth birthday round
the corner, there are a few things to sort out
to keep her in top class order. She has just had
a structural survey, and it was decided that it
is time for her to be removed from her ballast
keel, and the iron floors removed, repaired and
refurbished, then refitted with new fastenings.
A complete set of new bronze keel bolts will be
fitted also when she gets reunited with her keel

Frenesi lifted from her
ballast keel, and settled in the shed once
again. Strap floors progressively removed, any
repairs to the underlying steamed and laminated
timbers carried out. Planking repairs in port
quarter topsides, and port bow below waterline
all completed.
